 This page lists recent recall alerts for food and feed products that have been distributed to, and/or were produced here in Georgia. Recall notices come from the GDA as well as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety Inspection Service (USDA FSIS).   • Northfork Bison Distributions Inc. - is recalling ground bison and bison burger products due to potential E. coli contamination. The specific products are their Bison Ground, and Bison Burgers and/or Buffalo Burgers, sold retailers in 4 x 4-ounce packages. For more information on this recall, click here.
  • PROBAR, LLC - is recalling select flavors and lots of Meal ® bars due to the possible presence of undeclared milk and soy allergens. The complete list of products can be found here.
  • Pita Pal Foods, LP - is recalling certain hummus products ue to concerns over Listeria monocytogenes. The complete list of products can be found here
  • Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. - is recalling their fish cake products because of the possible presence of milk, egg and shellfish allergens. The complete list of products can be found here.
  • Flowers Foods, Inc. - is recalling hamburger and hot dog buns and other bakery products due to the potential presence of small pieces of hard plastic. The complete list of products can be found here.
  • Growers Express - is recalling select fresh vegetable products due to the potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The specific products are Trader Joe's Zucchini Spirals (10.5 oz) with Item SKU: MSC104106, UPC Number: 634908, and Lot Code:  190617-403814; and Trader Joe's Butternut Squash Spirals (10.5 oz) with Item SKU: BCN105106, UPC Number: 623391, and Lot Code: 190614-403565.
  • Pet Supplies Plus - is recalling bulk pig ear products supplied by several different vendors due to the potential of Salmonella contamination. The specific product is their Pig Ear Treats.

INDUSTRYAll food manufacturers in Georgia must conduct finished product/ingredient testing and any confirmed positive test results must be reported to the GDA within 24 hours of obtaining the test results (even if the product is still in the firm's control).
